I love movie montages...so here’s my 2012 blog montage. I shall call it, my blogtage.
2012.
I turned 30. Hung out with friends. Survived one of the hottest summers I can remember as a hugely (I mean hugely!!!) pregnant woman.
(Seriously this is only about 7 1/2 months)
Prepped for baby, prepped for baby, prepped for baby, etc.
Had our reveal party and found out it’s a girl!!!
Imagined what life with baby would be like....
Still prepping for baby....
Had induction date. Got pushed back. Then pushed back again...
FINALLY! In the hospital!
June 15th Gave birth. World changed.
Brianne Elizabeth Calvert. Born 5:41PM, 8lbs, 11oz. 21.5 Inches long. Totally in love.
Still figuring this mom thing out, though. Boy was I wrong about what life with baby would be like!
June 29th. Derecho. No power. A zillion degrees. A two week old baby still recovering from jaundice. Little or no cell service and Mom and Dad at the breaking point. All hotels full....except one.
Thank God.
July 16th- celebrated our 8 year wedding Anniversary!
Stressful days and sleepless nights. But totally worth it.
Made some new friends (Shady Grove Sisters!), but hardly see friends any more (life with baby is actually BABY + a lil teeny tiny bit of you-time, and pretty much NO time for friends).
Labor day weekend, trip to Charlottesville.
Back to work in September :(
Sad there was no hockey season starting, but at least Brianne met All-star Washington Capitals player Mike Green!
(5 months old and already flirting with hockey players...oh boy!)
Halloween- cutest Tigger ever!
Thanksgiving. Apparently we took no pictures at Thanksgiving....
